Every bend holds A Miracle

Every bend holds A Miracle
by Pierre A J Sabourin

The painting was selected this year for the Festival of the Seven Exhibition held at the Art Gallery of Sudbury over the summer. I was honored Tom Smart Curatorial Director for the AGS selected this piece for the exhibition as it was inspired by the great French Canadian artist Clarence Gagnon.

Tom Smart former curator of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection with it’s treasure trove of Group of Seven and Thomson paintings. It was incredible to have Tom in my studio. I felt like every bend held a miracle, like a dream come true.

Painted en plein air on the Chikinishing Creek snowmobile bridge in Killarney Provincial Park measures 3ft by 4ft and brought in by toboggan. I am thankful of the generosity of my patron and pleased to announce the painting has found a home on the Georgian Bay in the Parry Sound district.
