James an outspoken representative for Canada’s Aboriginal people is only eclipsed by his outstanding contribution to Canadian and Aboriginal art. James is the only Canadian Artist with paintings in the Vatican Collection in Rome. He was also good friends with Norval Morrisseau founder of the Woodland School of Painting here in Canada.

During the Canadian Woodstock Exhibition eight original Mish Mountain paintings will grace Killarney’s historic Sportsman’s Inn Resort Marina including a reproduction of his famous Vatican work My Rock Pope John Paul II

I made a comment about spiritual religion over the internet a week ago, This person who had seen the Portrait of Pope John Paul II by MISHIBINIJIMA said, how can a native American paint a catholic concept. I relied by saying, Spiritual religion and faith is the most powerful enitity a person can have, through believing, inner strength begins and thats we all want. Someone to stand and clear the way in our human journey because there’s allot of negative lights along they way to get us astray and to fail. To my surprise in this public comment, Pope John Paul II prints are being shipped all over America. I’m glad the Pope print helps the people in some way and only trying to help but of course, only you can do that if you want to change and clear your path. James Simon Mishibinijima
